House Palestine Committee renews call to expel Israeli ambassador

By JT - Jul 19,2020 - Last updated at Jul 19,2020

AMMAN — The Lower House’s Palestine Committee on Sunday renewed its call to expel the Israeli ambassador in Amman in protest against the Israeli decision to annex the Palestinian territories.

The US-supported provocative Israeli measures will “ignite” conflict in the region, head of the panel MP Yahia Saud said, adding that Tel Aviv's schemes to annex the Jordan Valley and parts of the West Bank are a violation of international legitimacy resolutions, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.

The MP also condemned Israel's arrest of Jerusalem's mayor and denounced Google's deletion of Palestine from its maps, describing the step as an "absolute bias" in favour of Israel at the expense of the Palestinian people and their cause, according to Petra.
