House panel discusses chemical weapons prohibition bill

AMMAN — The Lower House’s Legal Committee on Sunday completed its examination of the 2014 draft prohibition of chemical weapons law.
Head of the panel, MP Musafa Amawi, said the panel organised brainstorming sessions over the bill with experts from the Jordan Armed Forces-Arab Army and other security agencies in addition to representatives of the interior and justice ministries.
Amawi stressed the importance of the law, citing the exceptional circumstances the region is going through.
