AMMAN — Lower House Speaker Ahmad Safadi on Sunday met with a delegation from the British Conservative Party, underscoring Jordan's commitment to political, economic and administrative reforms. Safadi added that the goal of the reforms is to boost public participation in decision-making and to foster programme-based party parliaments, reported the Jordan News Agency, Petra. Safadi met with the UK delegation led by Lord Risby, and comprising Rob Butler, Bob Steward, Caroline Ansell, Christopher  Clarkson and Charlotte Leslie. During the meeting, he highlighted the "sharp and dangerous" decline in support for Syrian refugees.
