AMMAN — Most areas on Monday will enjoy pleasant weather, while the Jordan Valley, the Dead Sea, and Aqaba will experience warm conditions, the Jordan Meteorological Department (JMD) forecast on Sunday.

Clouds will appear at different altitudes, gradually increasing in the evening as the Kingdom is expected to experience unstable weather conditions.

Showers are expected, with random rain anticipated in parts of the northern and central regions. Late-night precipitation may become heavy, accompanied by thunder, the department added.

The eastern regions might also witness rainfall during late night hours, with moderate to brisk south-westerly winds.

On Tuesday, the unstable weather conditions are forecast to deepen with partly cloudy to cloudy skies at times, accompanied by showers in most areas.

There is a possibility of heavy downpours, accompanied by thunder and hail, resulting in the formation of flash floods in valleys and low-lying areas, including the Dead Sea, according to the JMD.

The winds will be active, ranging from south-westerly to westerly directions, occasionally reaching strong gusts exceeding 50 kilometres per hour, which might raise dust, particularly in desert areas.

On Wednesday, a drop in temperatures is forecast, resulting in relatively cold weather in most parts of the country, while remaining relatively warm in the Jordan Valley, the Dead Sea and Aqaba.

The sky will be partly cloudy to generally cloudy, with rainfall expected in the northern and central areas of the Kingdom and parts of the southwestern regions, while brisk westerly winds is forecast to prevail.

Temperatures in Amman on Monday will range between a high of 20° C and low of 9° C, and mercury levels in Aqaba will mark 31° C in the day, dropping to 18° C in the night, the JMD forecast.
