Jordan, GCC discuss transport cooperation

AMMAN — Jordan is looking forward to enhancing cooperation and increasing the exchange of information with Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries on transport patterns and railway connection projects, Secretary General of the Transport Ministry Wissam Tahtamoni said on Wednesday.
Speaking at the third meeting of the transport cooperation action team between Jordan and the GCC countries, held virtually, Tahtamoni stressed the importance of increasing cooperation and exchanging information between the Kingdom and the GCC member states, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
For his part, Undersecretary at the Bahraini Ministry of Transportation and Telecommunications Sami Buhazza, who headed the GCC delegation, said that the two-day meeting followed discussions of foreign ministers of the GCC countries and Jordan to follow up on transport issues. Buhazza added that this sector has "considerable" importance in developing economic activities in the participating countries and facilitating transport between Jordan and the GCC countries.
