AMMAN — Jordanian engineer Abeer Mahmoud Ramadna has won three Middle East Stevie Awards, securing the gold, silver and bronze ranks in three categories, according to the award’s website.

Ramadna, currently the Assistant Director of the Control and Inspection Unit for Economic Activities at the Ministry of Industry, Trade, and Supply, won the Gold Stevie for "Most Innovative Communications Professional of the Year", the Silver Stevie for "Innovation in Community Relations or Public Service Communications" and the Bronze Stevie for "Innovative Management in Government Organisations with 100 or More Employees", the website said.

The Stevie® Awards are the world's premier business awards. They were created in 2002 to honour and generate public recognition of the achievements and positive contributions of organisations and working professionals worldwide, according to the website.

Ramadna took part in the Middle East Stevie Awards, which are open to all organisations in 17 nations in the Middle East and North Africa.

“I was very happy when I received the news. I consider it as representing Jordan, especially since the competitiveness was high,” Ramadna told The Jordan Times on Thursday over the phone.

In an email she sent to The Jordan Times, Ramadna said that winners will receive a Grand Stevie Award trophy and “the exclusive use of a special Grand Stevie Award winner logo as a proof and testament of their wins”.

Ramadna has 20 years of experience in the private and public sectors in Jordan, spanning energy efficiency, quality management, environmental management, preparing industrial polices and plans, inspection polices, monitoring and evaluation systems and training.

She has a master's degree in Industrial Engineering-Engineering Administration from the University of Jordan.
