Justice Minister opens Jordanian-Saudi meeting on prisoners' extradition

AMMAN – Minister of Justice Awad Abu Jarad on Monday opened the third meeting of the Jordanian and Saudi committees on prisoners' extradition, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported. Abu Jarad said that this meeting comes within the framework of Jordanian-Saudi cooperation in the legal and judicial fields, and aims to strengthen relations between the two brotherly countries.

During the meeting, which was attended by Advisor of Security Affairs at the Saudi Ministry of Interior Mansour Bin Abdullah Rashoud, the two sides highlighted the main points of legal and judicial cooperation, especially in relation to prisoners' extradition. As part of the cooperation, six convicted Jordanians have been transferred from Saudi prisons to serve their sentences in Jordan and 10 convicted Saudis were transferred from Jordan to Saudi Arabia.
