KAFD launches course to support students project

AMMAN — The King Abdullah II Fund for Development (KAFD) on Thursday launched a new course as part of the Research and Creativity Support Project for University Students, in accordance with the project's 2022 development plan which was recently approved.

The project's development plan aligns with the goals of the Economic Modernisation Vision to enhance development and provide practical solutions to various national problems and challenges, according to the Jordan News Agency, Petra.

The plan focuses on supporting qualitative, viable and sustainable projects and research, as well as assisting in the procurement of patents and contributing to solutions for societal challenges. University students can apply to get their projects supported — within specific conditions and criteria —through (join.kafd.jo) from October 20 to November 6. Winning projects will receive financial support of up to JD5,000. Launched in 2004 in partnership with the Jordan Design and Development Bureau, the project has offered support for 363 research projects, providing 1,572 direct and indirect opportunities.
