AMMAN — His Majesty King Abdullah is scheduled to conduct an official visit to Japan on October 26 upon an invitation from the Japanese government, a Royal Court statement said on Tuesday.

During the visit, His Majesty is scheduled to discuss bilateral relations and regional and international developments with Japanese Emperor Akihito, Prime Minister Shinzo Abe and senior officials, especially regarding efforts to combat terrorism.

The last visit His Majesty made to Japan was in 2014, where he met with the emperor, the premier, senior officials and leading corporate executives.

Amman and Tokyo initiated diplomatic relations in 1954, and Japan is considered a key donor to the Kingdom.
