KSRelief, JHCO launch food assistance project

AMMAN — The Jordan Hashemite Charity Organisation (JHCO), in cooperation with the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Centre (KSRelief), on Tuesday launched a food basket project aimed at supporting underprivileged Jordanian families, as well as Palestinian and Syrian refugees.

The food assistance project includes the distribution of 31,865 food baskets filled with 16 basic food items to be used during the holy month of Ramadan, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.

JHCO Secretary General Hussein Shibli said that the campaign aims to reach 159,325 individuals across the Kingdom. Director of the KSRelief branch in Jordan Saud Al Hezaim said that the total value of the food basket project amounts to $1 million.
