AMMAN — The Ministry of Labour has decided on Thursday to lift the suspension on the licensing of offices that recruit non-Jordanian domestic helpers in the Kingdom, based on a recommendation from the Committee for the Regulation of Offices and Domestic Workers Affairs. In a statement on Thursday, the ministry said that the decision comes as part of its role in regulating and controlling the labour market, increasing competitiveness among licensed offices, improving services provided to citizens, and facilitating processes for citizens by saving them time and effort through the availability of these offices in all governorates of the Kingdom. The ministry said that the licensing process for these offices will be conducted in accordance with the conditions and procedures outlined in the Regulation of the offices. The ministry noted that the licensing of these offices had been suspended since 2012.
