Loan instalments of farmers postponed by 3 months — Daoudiyeh

AMMAN — The board of directors of the Agricultural Credit Corporation (ACC) on Thursday decided to postpone the loan instalments of farmers and their guarantors by three months.
During a meeting chaired by Agriculture Minister Mohammad Daoudiyeh, who is also chairman of the ACC, and ACC Director General Mohammad Hiyari, the board said the decision was made to enable all farmers to continue production in light of the COVID-19 pandemic, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
A total of 30,000 farmers are expected to benefit from the decision with a total value of JD10 million. The board also approved allocating JD45 million from its 2021 budget for lending purposes to support the agricultural sector.
