AMMAN — Local Administration Minister Walid Masri on Sunday said that JD100,000 allocated in the 2020 budget to fund municipalities’ infrastructure projects will be redirected to the health sector.

The minister’s remarks came during an inspection tour of markets in Zarqa, Rusaifah and Al Hashimiya to check on selling procedures and the compliance of establishments with public safety measures.

The minister highlighted that the traders have been exempted from fines related to professional licences until the first of June, calling on mayors to pardon those who commit administrative offences under the current circumstances, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.

E-permits for movement during the curfew will be distributed when the related programme has been prepared and devices have been distributed to the police, he noted.
