Lower House delegation visits nuclear research reactor

RAMTHA — The Jordanian nuclear reactor project for research and training at the Jordan University of Science and Technology is a national project, Lower House Speaker Atef Tarawneh said Monday.
During a Lower House delegation visit to the project, accompanied by Jordan Atomic Energy Commission Chairman Khaled Toukan, Tarawneh said the project has no environmental risks, especially since it will be intensively monitored.
Toukan said this project is the foundation to build an energy reactor, noting it will contribute to improving national abilities in this sector.
