AMMAN — Minister of Agriculture and Environment Ibrahim Shahahdeh on Tuesday voiced Jordan's commitment to implementing the recommendations of the 2015 Paris climate conference.
The minister's remarks came during a meeting with the EU Ambassador to Jordan Andrea Matteo Fontana, where he called on donor countries to secure the necessary funding for Jordan's water, energy, agriculture and transportation projects, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
Fontana expressed the EU's readiness to support Jordan's environmental projects and programmes. The two sides also discussed coordination for the 2018 UN Climate Change Conference in Poland in December.
