Momani, Senate committee discuss role of media

AMMAN — Minister of State for Media Affairs Mohammad Momani on Monday met with the Senate Media and National Guidance Committee, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
Momani and the committee discussed the media’s role and transforming it to support national interest. Momani said the official media prefer accuracy over speed in delivering news.
He added that the media scene in Jordan is diverse, with its radio and online outlets, and “the Kingdom TV Channel” will be launched soon. For its part, the committee stressed the importance of shedding light on society’s needs and promoting Jordanian products and tourism via the media.
