AMMAN — Member of the National Epidemiological Committee Bassam Hijjawi denied allegations that the committee made a recommendation to delay the second academic semester.
Hijjawi told local media outlets that the committee is about to announce “satisfying” recommendations over the next few days.
As for the Central Planning Committee at the Education Ministry’s recommendations to delay the start of the secondsemester, he said that they were made with the expectation for the semester to coincide with the fourth wave of the COVID-19 pandemic, which Hijjawi expected to be brief and might end before April.
