AMMAN — The 2021-2022 National Student Debate Competition kicked off on Wednesday with the participation of 12 Jordanian public and private universities, according to a Crown Prince Foundation (CPF) statement.

The competition is part of CPF's flagship training programme “Ana Usharek”, translated as "I participate", which is implemented in partnership with the National Democratic Institute (NDI) and funded by the United States Agency for International Development (USAID), according to the Jordan News Agency, Petra.

Over the course of the two-day event, university students will compete and showcase their debating skills, notably evidence-gathering and argumentation skills that they acquired through the "Ana Usharek" programme, over topics of public interest.
