Parliamentary Financial Committee discusses draft budget

AMMAN — The Parliamentary Financial Committee on Tuesday met with a number of ministers to discuss the 2023 draft budget.
After receiving the national budget law and the budgets of the independent public institutions, the committee conventionally meets with officials and representatives of the private sector and civil institutions before referring the bill to MPs for a full House discussion, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
Ministers of finance, energy, investment, trade and industry, tourism and environment, as well as governor of the Central Bank of Jordan, representatives from the ministry of finance attended the meeting. The government on Monday submitted the draft budget law for 2023 to the Lower House, with an estimated budget of JD11.431 billion.
