AMMAN — A police spokesperson on Thursday refuted information circulated on social media that a Civil Defence Department paramedic's wife suspected of having contracted the novel coronavirus ran away from a hospital.
The spokesperson said in a statement carried by the Jordan News Agency, Petra, that the circulated message is “inaccurate and unfounded”, adding that the woman had visited the hospital, and that after she left, a nurse reported that she was suspected of being infected with the coronavirus.
The woman and her husband were contacted and immediately visited the King Hussein Medical Centre to be tested, the spokesperson added.
