Prince Mired, social development minister discuss cooperation

AMMAN — HH Prince Mired, president of the Higher Council for the Affairs of Persons with Disabilities, on Wednesday met with Minister of Social Development Basma Ishaqat to discuss ways of enhancing coordination and cooperation between the council and the ministry, especially with regards to launching the sheltering alternatives plan.

The meeting also tackled the need to launch an awareness campaign about the importance of independent living and integrating disabled people into society, as opposed to relying on shelters.
