AMMAN — The Public Security Department (PSD) on Thursday announced that, in implementation of the total curfew on Friday and Saturday starting Thursday midnight, it will enhance its patrols, which will be deployed in all locations.

The PSD said that its personnel will arrest any curfew violators and refer them to the public prosecutor to face legal action, and will seize all violating vehicles, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.

The department said that, to achieve wider and more comprehensive control and oversight over all forms of violations in various locations, drones will be used in various areas of the Kingdom during the two days of total curfew.

The PSD called on everyone to abide by instructions and not leave their homes under any circumstances, adding that in case of extreme necessity or medical emergencies, the public should call the unified emergency number 911.
