AMMAN — Director General of the Land Transport Regulatory Commission Tariq Habashneh on Sunday warned public transport vehicles against violating passenger transport line regulations, including failing to reach their final destinations, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
Habashneh said that directors of the commission's offices in the Kingdom’s governorates are closely following on public transport vehicles’ commitment to passenger transport legislation, as well as receiving complaints in this regard.
The commission is working with relevant authorities, foremost of which is the Traffic Department, to monitor public transport routes and prevent violations, especially during rush hours, he said.
The authority had asked the Public Security Directorate to tighten control over passenger transport lines during the holy month of Ramadan, Habashneh added.
