AMMAN — Minister of Government Communication Faisal Al Shboul on Wednesday said that the Royal wedding clearly encompasses the Jordanian-Arab-Hashemite culture, both domestically and externally, representing the Kingdom’s heritage in a civilised manner.

It also symbolises the Jordanian’s people unity behind its leadership, with all citizens coming together to celebrate the wedding of the Crown Prince, he added.

During a phone interview on the Al Mamlaka TV, Shboul, who is also the government spokesperson, emphasised the importance of the dinner banquet hosted by His Majesty King Abdullah, marking the wedding of HRH Crown Prince Hussein, according to the Jordan News Agency, Petra.

He highlighted His Majesty’s address to the attendees, who represent various segments of Jordanian society, in which His Majesty said: “Let us celebrate Hussein, my son and yours”. His Majesty expressed his delight in the guests’ attendance and commended Hussein’s determination.

The events of the past few days have sent a powerful message to the world, portraying Jordan as a united and cohesive family around the noble Hashemite leadership and have shown the rich culture and traditions of the Kingdom.

Highlighting the significance of the upcoming official reception that will be held on Thursday, Shboul said that the level of attendance at the Royal wedding reflects the profound respect people hold for His Majesty the King, the Crown Prince, the Hashemite family and Jordanians as whole.

He also commended the collective efforts of state institutions in organising the Royal wedding ceremonies.

Shboul expressed appreciation for the role of local media outlets, noting their responsible portrayal of the nation’s civilisation and culture on both domestic and international platforms.
