Safadi attends Union for the Mediterranean forum on development, security

AMMAN — Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Ayman Safadi on Monday stressed the importance of the Union for the Mediterranean (UfM) as an effective forum for joint action in order to achieve security, stability and prosperity in the region, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.

During the UfM's Third Forum, which was inaugurated by Safadi and the EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Federica Mogherini, Safadi pointed out the importance of the projects launched by the Forum in the fields of economy and improvement of the living standards since its launch at the Paris Summit for the Mediterranean in 2008.

On the sidelines of the forum, Safadi held meetings with the Palestinian Foreign Minister Riyad Al Maliki, Albanian Foreign Minister Dietmar Bouchati and Italian Deputy Foreign Minister Emanuela Del Rey.
