Safadi receives US Christian delegation

AMMAN — Foreign Minister Ayman Safadi on Monday met with a US delegation of Christian clerics, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported. The delegation included a number of members from US President Donald Trump’s evangelical advisory council.

During the meeting, Safadi praised the Jordan-US relations, voicing his appreciation of Washington’s support to the Kingdom. He outlined the challenges facing the region, including the Palestinian-Israeli conflict and the war on terrorism.

He highlighted the Kingdom’s efforts to achieve peace and stability, and stressed that terrorism is not limited to one religion or culture and that terrorists do not represent Islam which carries peaceful values.
