Safadi, UN commission talk SDGs

AMMAN — Foreign Minister Ayman Safadi on Tuesday received UN Economic and Social Commission for Western Asia (ESCWA) Executive Secretary Rola Dashti. The two sides discussed ways to further bilateral cooperation between Jordan and ESCWA, and joint efforts to achieve the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals.

Safadi and Dashti affirmed their keenness to enhance cooperation between the Kingdom and ESCWA, and the UN’s various institutions, in facing economic challenges.

During the meeting, Dashti hailed the level of cooperation between Jordan and ESCWA and affirmed the latter’s support to relevant government institutions, according to a Foreign Ministry statement.
