AMMAN — Higher Education Ministry Secretary General Hani Dmour on Saturday warned students and parents of fake study-abroad programmes advertised on social media, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.

Students should only deal with authorised offices that are licensed by the ministry, Dmour said, adding that the regulations for obtaining certificates from foreign countries can be accessed at the ministry’s Universities Services Department or the ministry's website www.mohe.gov.jo.

He stressed that the ministry is not responsible for any problems arising from unauthorised offices and urged the public to report them.
