Suspect in Zarqa arson attack arrested

AMMAN — The police on Monday arrested a suspect in connection with an arson attack in Zarqa at a second-hand clothes market earlier this month, which damaged the stalls and shops of 30 people, the Public Security Department (PSD) said.
A specialised team from the Zarqa Criminal Investigation Department identified the suspect, who is also suspected in a drunk and disorderly case and of drug possession.
The suspect confessed to causing the fire over arguments between him and other people, and the investigation is still under way.
