Tawjihi starts today

AMMAN — The General Secondary Education Certificate Examination (Tawjihi) 2022 session will begin on Thursday for 204,138 students, with a total of 150,880  students taking the exam on the first day. Among this year’s Tawjihi students, 124,415 are regular students and 79,768 are private-study applicants, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.

The national exam will be held in 1,939 halls across 786 schools throughout the Kingdom, with 42 additional halls being reserved in case of an emergency. Around 30,000 teachers will be monitoring the students who are taking the exams. A total of 66 applicants will sit for the national examination at correctional and rehabilitation centres in 11 halls. A total of 564 students with disabilities and 23 applicants from the King Hussein Cancer Centre are scheduled to take the exam. Tawjihi is being held in two sessions per day, one starting at 10am and the second at 1pm.
