Three dead, 22 injured in fires, traffic collision

AMMAN — Two children died and three people suffered smoke inhalation in a house fire in Aqaba, 330km south of the capital, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
Civil Defence Department (CDD) firefighters put out the blaze, while paramedic administered first aid to the injured and took them to Prince Hashem Military Hospital, where they were listed in critical condition. The cause of the fire is still under investigation, Petra reported.
Also on Wednesday, four people suffered smoke inhalation in another house fire in Irbid, 80km north of Amman.
The injured were rushed to Prince Rashid Military Hospital where some of them were listed in good condition.
The condition of a six-year-old child was listed as critical. Later on Wednesday in Irbid, a woman in her 50s died and 15 people were injured in a two-vehicle collision.
