UJ’s website ranked top in region

AMMAN — The Webometrics, a ranking system of the world’s universities based on their websites, ranked Jordan University (UJ) first regionally, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported on Monday.
UJ was ranked in the top 1 per cent of universities in the Arab world, among 987 universities and in the top 5 per cent of universities worldwide between the 27,764 listed universities.
According to a press release issued by UJ on Monday, the university ranked 41th in the world and first in the Middle East and the Arab world in terms of the size of its website and the content it provides.
