Water Ministry detects 3 water theft cases at Zara Ma’in pipeline

AMMAN — The Water Ministry, in cooperation with the Public Security Directorate, has detected three incidents of water theft in which water was illegally diverted from the main pipeline of the Zara Ma'in/Sweimeh station.

The theft revolved around the illegal withdrawal of large quantities of water to supply banana farms. The ministry called on the public to report violations that affect water provision and cause major interruptions in water supplies by calling 117116.
