Zakat Fund distributes aid to families affected by floods

AMMAN — The Zakat Fund in cooperation with the Awqaf Directorate of Maan on Saturday distributed assistance to 331 families in the areas of Jafer, Eil and Athroh in the Maan Governorate, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
Director General of the Zakat Fund Shaher Eiadeh said that the fund provided JD17,000 in vouchers for food and clothing to families that were affected by flashfloods.
The fund’s Public Relations Director Mohammad Rawajfeh said that the Awqaf directorates and Zakat committees were notified to abide by the directives given by administrative rulers in their areas to provide aid to people in case of evacuation and relief.
