Ghosheh, US ambassador discuss cooperation

AMMAN — Public Sector Development Minister Yasera Ghosheh on Tuesday received US Ambassador Alice G. Wells and discussed ways to enhance bilateral cooperation in public sector development and reform.

Ghosheh reiterated the importance of enhancing cooperation in a way that conforms to the government’s programme aimed at developing public administration and services, according to a ministry statement.

The minister commended USAID’s support to help the ministry implement public sector development through the agency’s rule of law project and the Takamol Gender Programme.

Meanwhile, Wells praised Jordanian-US ties, and stressed the importance of assistance to the ministry in public service development, building employee capacities and empowering women in the public sector, the statement added.
