AMMAN — Prime Minister and Minister of Defence Omar Razzaz on Wednesday issued a circular to all ministries urging them to use electric vehicles and to use 4x4 vehicles only for field visits outside the capital.
Razzaz asked all ministries to hand over all 4x4 vehicles to the Prime Ministry, which will allocate them to ministries at the time of the field visits, while all the surplus units will be sold as stipulated by relevant regulations, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported on Thursday.
The premier stressed that these procedures aim at preserving public money, rationalising public expenditures and guaranteeing the “best use” of government vehicles.
