Ukrainian fashion designers to stage runway shows in Jordan

AMMAN — The Ukrainian embassy in Amman on Monday said it will organise a fashion week in Jordan to celebrate the 25th anniversary of Ukraine’s independence. Ukrainian fashion designers will present their collections in two runway shows, in Amman and Aqaba, the embassy said in a statement e-mailed to The Jordan Times.

Their collections will be displayed in a showroom, where guests will have the chance to try on Ukrainian designs, the embassy said, adding that previous Ukrainian fashion weeks have been held in the US, India, Greece, Georgia, Russia and France.

Fashion shows will be held in Amman’s Marriot Hotel on August 4 and in Aqaba’s Radisson Blu Tala Bay Resort on August 7, the statement said.
