Fuel prices increase in third week of January

AMMAN — The Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources on Monday said that the price of Brent oil during the third week of January increased by 2.1 per cent to $59.9 compared with the second week of the month, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
The price per tonne of diesel rose from $543.3 to $551.8, according to a ministry statement, while the price per tonne of 95-octane gasoline increased from $528.4 to 528.7.
The price per tonne of 90-octane gasoline also increased, from $508.1 in the second week, to $510.3 and the price per tonne of kerosene rose from $583.8 to 587.8, the ministry said, while liquefied gas prices remained at $422.5 per tonne. The range of oil derivative prices in the local market is calculated based on international prices, according to the statement.
