AMMAN — The prevailing heatwave is forecast to taper off starting Tuesday, the Jordan Meteorological Department (JMD) said.
However, temperatures are expected to remain above the seasonal average by 9 to 10C, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported quoting the JMD.
The weather department forecast relatively hot weather to prevail in most parts of the Kingdom, except in the Jordan Valley and Aqaba where it will be hot with northwesterly moderate to brisk winds.
A further dip in temperatures is expected on Wednesday, bringing fair weather condition in most parts of the country, and relatively hot conditions in the Jordan Valley, the Dead Sea area and Aqaba, the JMD noted.
