AMMAN — Deputising for Prime Minister and Minister of Defence Bisher Al Khasawneh, Awqaf Minister Mohammad Khalaileh attended the opening ceremony of World Interfaith Harmony Week, held this year under the title “Jordan: a model of harmony among followers of religions and faith”.

Khalaileh said that Islam carries the message of mercy to all of humanity, which was clear in Prophet Mohammad’s relation with non-Muslims, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.

Jordanian Interfaith Coexistence Research Centre Founder and Executive Director Father Nabil Haddad said that the model of coexistence in Jordan is supported by the Hashemite leadership that insisted that all in Jordan shall live in tranquillity and safety, stressing his admiration in the Amman Message and its calls to live in peace and mercy.
