During the visit, King Abdullah is scheduled to meet with Japanese Emperor Akihito, and will discuss ways to develop bilateral relations, issues of mutual interests and the latest regional and international developments with Prime Minister Shinzo Abe and other senior officials, a Royal Court statement said.
His Majesty is also scheduled to meet with influential intellectual, economic and parliamentary leaders in Tokyo to shed light on the Kingdom’s stance on different regional and international issues, and to enhance bilateral relations in all fields.
The King’s visit to Japan is part of Jordan’s “continuous cooperation and coordination with capitals of world decision making in dealing with different developments and challenges the Middle East is witnessing”, the Royal Court said.
