AMMAN — Minister of Public Works and Housing Yahya Kisbi on Saturday stressed the need to complete work on a road to the air freight project and inaugurate it officially during the current week, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
Kisbi described the project as “vital”, as it serves many industrial investment facilities, links the airport road to the air cargo area and the ancient Al Mushatta Palace, in addition to being the main road for crossing to the air cargo gate of Queen Alia International Airport.
The remarks came during an inspection visit by Kisbi and Tourism Minister Nayef Fayez, examining the progress of the rehabilitation of the Qastal road project.
Under directives of Prime Minister and Minister of Defence Bisher Al Khasawneh, “the government will not hesitate to provide the best services to investors and secure the necessary support for them”, he stressed.
During the visit, Kisbi was briefed on reconstruction of the 7.4 kilometre road.
The project to rehabilitate the air freight-Qastal road is financed by a loan from the Kuwait Fund for Arab Economic Development and the implementation of the works will be completed in about two months.
