Police arrests 2 drug dealers in possession of large quantities of narcotics

AMMAN — The Anti-Narcotics Department (AND) on Monday arrested two drug dealers in possession of large quantities of drugs. The two drug dealers showed fierce resistance, firing shots directly at AND personnel who applied the rules of engagement, which resulted in the injury of one of the drug dealers, who was hospitalised.
PSD spokesperson confirmed that the drug dealer, accompanied by another person, transported a large amount of narcotic substances with the aim of selling them.
The AND attempted to stop the drug dealers’ vehicle when they tried to flee and fired shots directly at AND personnel. Searching the vehicle, the AND personnel seized 25 palm-sized sheets of hashish, 2,000 narcotic pills and a firearm.
