Today last day for local election candidates to resign from post

AMMAN — The deadline to submit resignations for those willing to run for the local and municipal council elections is before the end of today’s working hours, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
According to the decentralisation law, those running for the local elections should resign from their post 15 days prior to the date set to run for the candidacy.
The Independent Election Commission called on candidates to submit their resignation letters before June 18, as the local and municipal elections are slated for August 15, Petra reported.
