AMMAN — The Interior Ministry on Saturday said that "strict measures" will be taken against foreign workers who have not yet received the two doses of a COVID-19 vaccine.
The ministry, in a statement cited by the Jordan News Agency, Petra, said that unvaccinated foreign workers will be deported as of December 15.
It said that the decision aims to protect public health, noting that prompting foreign workers to get vaccinated protects them against future infections and disease transmission.
Foreign workers are allowed to receive the vaccine for free, without the need to present their residency or work permits.
