‘Was this the correct approach?’

Mar 19,2015 - Last updated at Mar 19,2015

I came with a group of 16 tourists from Taiwan to visit Jordan.

The travel agency took us to Petra; we spent the night of February 19 in Petra at the Marriott Hotel.

The next day, February 20, our local tour guide told us that the site was closed in the morning, but the agency refused to refund us.

We requested the ticket stubs, but were refused again.

Was this the correct approach?

We could not go to Petra, our dream attractions. We could not see The Siq, Al Khazneh, etc., by ourselves, even though they were just some10-minute drive away.

All we could do was wait and wait in the hotel lobby.

After lunch, there was a heavy snowfall.

We left Petra for the airport in Amman following the Desert Highway.

It was a scary drive as the roads were slippery. We feared for our life but fortunately we made it.

However, we returned to Taiwan disappointed.

If Petra was closed, the agency should have refunded the money we had paid for the tickets to visit it.

The travel agency has not provide a reasonable explanation until now.
