‘King Abdullah Industrial Estate ranked first in investments’ volume, manpower’

AMMAN — The King Abdullah II Industrial Estate ranked first in terms of investment volume that totalled JD1.4 billion, with a manpower standing at 16,000 employees, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported on Monday.
Figures by the Jordan Industrial Estates Corporation (JIEC) indicate that the investment volume at Al Hassan Industrial Estate in Irbid stands at JD490 million with 32,000 employees, while the investment volume at Al Hussein Bin Abdullah II Industrial Estate is worth JD47 million.
Investment exports of industrial estates last year exceeded JD2 billion, where Al Hassan Industrial Estate amounted for the largest share of exports with JD490 million, followed by the King Abdullah II Industrial Estate with JD419 million, Aqaba Industrial Estate with JD420 million, Al Hussein Bin Abdullah II Industrial Estate with JD109 million and Muwaqqar Industrial Estate with JD65 million.
