‘Salt cell’ trial adjourned

AMMAN — Head of the State Security Court (SSC) Judge Ali Mubaidin on Monday decided to adjourn the trial session in the so-called "Salt cell" to next Monday to give the prosecution more time, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
On August 10, 2018, some defendants in the case allegedly manufactured explosives and planted them under a police patrol that was guarding the Fuheis festival, the charge sheet said.
The bomb exploded, killing two security officers and injuring several others, the charge sheet added. Also on Monday, the SSC, in eight public sessions, sentenced several suspects to prison terms ranging from four to 10 years and ordered them to pay fees, Petra added.
