11th edition of King Abdullah II Award for Creativity launched

AMMAN — Labour Minister Ali Ghezawi on Sunday announced the start of the 11th edition of the King Abdullah II Award for Creativity.
Ghezawi, who is also chair of the Development and Employment Fund (DEF), said that the award was launched in 2004 under His Majesty King Abdullah’s directives, with the aim of enhancing entrepreneurship in establishing small- and medium-sized enterprises that contribute to utilising untapped skills, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
He said that first place winner receives JD5,000, the second JD3,000 and the third JD2,000. DEF Director General Farouq Hadidi said that applications for the the award can be delivered to the fund or its branches between February 1 and March 1.
