1.2m citizens will be rediagnosed for disabilities — Prince Mired

AMMAN — HH Prince Mired, president of the Higher Council for the Affairs of Persons with Disabilities, and President of the Hashemite University Kamal Bani Hani on Tuesday discussed ways to strengthen cooperation between the council and the university in integrating and caring for disabled students and their education.
Prince Mired noted that the council has established national criteria to diagnose disabilities, while 1.2 million citizens with various disabilities.
“We will also establish unified criteria to treat and train people with disabilities at private care centres, and that will also apply to all centres around the Kingdom in line with consolidated and unified international standards,” the prince added, commending the the Hashemite University for being “at the forefront in terms of integrating and caring for students with disabilities”, he added, as quoted by Jordan News Agency, Petra.
